Michael Nordquist– Interim Executive Director of the Center for Community Engaged Learning
As Interim Executive Director, Michael is responsible for overseeing the Center for Community Engaged Learning and Research. Since coming to TCNJ in 2012, Michael has been an adjunct faculty member of the TCNJ Political Science Department, teaching courses on political theory and environmental politics. Michael’s interest in political engagement can be traced to high school, when he became involved in the politics of his school district. Since then, Michael has studied politics, earning a B.A. in Politics and German Studies from Ithaca College, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. He is involved in local politics, especially around environmental issues.
William Petrick- Residential Housing and Education Assistant Director of SYE/UCE
In his role as Assistant Director for the Sophomore and Upper Class Experience programs with the Office of Residential Education and Housing, William is responsible for overseeing the growth and development of upper class housing at TCNJ. William came to TCNJ with nine years of experience working in residential housing programs all across the state of New Jersey. William’s interest in politics has focused on the international impact of decision making, an interest pursued during his work attaining a B.S. in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University. Recently, William’s focus has been on helping develop and grow Social Justice based thinking and programming on campus.
Jennifer Loughran– Political Engagement Intern
Jennifer is a junior political science major at TCNJ. She works as a political engagement intern under the Bonner Community Scholars Program.
